What routes are there?

Our years of experience have taught us that these routes offer you the best combination of adventure, scenery and success.

The 6 and 7 Day Routes are designed to allow us to properly acclimatize, thus increasing our chances of successfully summitting.

6-Day Marangu route

This route is the oldest and is the most established route of all, and is also nicknamed the “Coca-Cola” route due to its massive popularity.

We will start our trek on the South East side of the mountain. This route is unfortunately less scenic than the other routes, because we climb up the same way we make our descent.

Perfect for small groups, usually between 6-10 climbers. Since this route is 6 days, it is more challenging than Machame.

7-Day Machame route

The Machame Route (also called the "Whiskey Route") begins on the southern side of Mt. Kilimanjaro. Machame is a popular route well-known for its incredible scenery. As a result, it is also the route with the most traffic. About 50% of all climbers choose the Machame route.

This route is perfect for an adventurous style traveller, or for people who wish to complete the trek at a fast pace, and also have amazing scenery to enjoy.

7-Day Lemosho-Shira Route

The Lemosho-Shira route is considered the most scenic trail on Kilimanjaro, granting panoramic vistas on various sides of the mountain. The route approaches Mount Kilimanjaro from the west, beginning with a drive from Arusha to Londorossi Gate.

It is our preferred route due to its ideal balance  of smaller crowds, beautiful scenery.

This route is more secluded than the Marangu or Machame Routes, and therefore offers better scenery and environment to enjoy.
